Root canal treatment
Modern root canal treatment is routine and painless and it can make all the difference between keeping or losing your tooth.
If the nerve inside your tooth becomes inflamed or infected from decay, a deep filling, a crack or blow to the tooth, then you may need root canal treatment for it to remain healthy.
Signs and symptoms include moderate to severe pain, prolonged temperature sensitivity and sometimes swelling and tenderness in the jaw. A front tooth affected by trauma often discolours and will require root canal treatment.
